Pre Press Manager

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Press Developer to join our advertising agency. The ideal candidate will oversee the pre-press team, manage workflow efficiency, and ensure all print-ready files meet high-quality standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration with designers, production teams, and print vendors to streamline the pre-press process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the pre-press team, ensuring timely and accurate file preparation for various printing processes.
• Oversee pre-flighting, color management, trapping, overprinting, and imposition settings to maintain print quality.
• Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure artwork is optimized for different print formats.
• Develop and implement best practices for pre-press workflow and quality control.
• Work closely with print vendors to verify proofs, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain print consistency.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of printing techniques, substrates, and finishing processes.
• Manage digital asset archiving and ensure version control and proper documentation.
• Provide training and guidance to the pre-press team on new technologies, software, and industry trends.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Pre-Press Manager, Pre-Press Supervisor, or in a senior pre-press role within an advertising or printing environment.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and other pre-press software.
• Strong understanding of color management, print production processes, and file preparation techniques.
• Experience with RIP software, proofing systems, and large-format printing.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Degree or certification in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or a related field is preferred.
