The Art Director / Design Director is responsible for setting the overall visual tone of the creative output and ensuring the alignment of all designs with brand strategy and business objectives. This leadership role requires strong conceptual thinking, creative vision, and the ability to lead and inspire a design team. The Art Director ensures that each creative piece is original, high-quality, and delivered on time.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the visual style and tone for creative campaigns across various media.

Build a creative culture grounded in brand strategy, experimentation, and performance.

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of designers, ensuring alignment with brand objectives.

Collaborate with clients and senior leadership to develop and refine creative strategies.

Review and approve all designs, artwork, photography, and visual content for consistency and quality.

Assign projects and manage team workload through project management tools.

Coordinate production schedules and ensure all design deliverables meet deadlines.

Monitor staff performance and enforce adherence to policies and creative standards.

Write bid specifications and coordinate with external vendors and production houses when needed.

Ensure creative output maintains exceptional quality standards and brand consistency.

Education:

4–6 years of proven design and creative leadership experience in a packaging design firm, advertising agency, or digital creative agency.
